SUMMARY
The authors evaluated the results of single-plate Molteno implants performed in 17 eyes of 16 patients, including congenital glaucoma - 5 cases, neovascular glaucoma - 5, aphakic glaucoma - 6 including post keratoplasty 2 cases, congenital aniridia - 1, intracapsular aphakia - 2, vitrectomy post trauma - 1, and 1 case of glaucoma post uveitis. The average intra ocular pressure before surgery was of 38,94 mmHg 13,07; one month after surgery it was 14,65 mmHg 12,70. Late postoperative I.O.P. was an average of 20,68 mmHg 14,38. 70,58% of the patients remained with I.O.P. lower than 22 mmHg aid 58,82% maintained their I.O.P. lower than 20 mmHg, with or without complementery medication.
