Dacriocystographic study in patients bearing Hansen’ s disease

SUMMARY

A dacriocystographic exam was performed in two groups of patients: patients bearing and not bearing Hansen’s disease, in order to look for a precocious failure of the Facial Nerve. After the results of this study have been submited to statistical analysis, the authors concluded that this kind of exam brings no improvement at diagnosing Hansen’s disease and they also think that further studies should be done in order to determinate the exact time after which the presence of contrast into lacrimal ways should be considered abnormal.
