Neurorretinite subaguda unilateral difusa no Brasil: encontro da larva sub-retiniana

RESUMO

O relato de um caso comprovado de Neurorretinite Subaguda Difusa Unilateral (NESUDI) evidencia sua existência no Brasil. Entre nós, o encontro da larva sub-retiniana é inusitado e reforça seu papel como agente etiológico da doença. Os autores pretendem divulgar esta condição entre os oftalmologistas brasileiros.

SUMMARY

We report the first documented case of Diffuse Unilateral Subacute Neuroretinitis (DUSN) in Brazil. The finding of a subretinal worm in this patient reinforces its role in the pathogenesis of the disease. It is our intention to inform ophthalmologists of the presence of this condition in Brazil.
