Studies were carried out, from the morphological standpoint, on the structural organization of Musa rosacea Jacq. The teleomatic and anthomatic axes were analyzed. In the former, the root, stem, and different leaf characters were determined whereas in the latter, inflorescence and infrutescence were analysed with all their implications. A detailed study on the ontogenesis and anatomy of the plant seems necessary. This would clarify the problems related to the different component, of the species as a whole. The presence of large amounts of starch granules in the leaf sheaths of M. rosacea suggests a possible economic utilization.
