Inthis paper, a contribution to the dendrological knowledge of the Brazilian Amazonian species of the genus Dimorphandra (Leguminosae-Caesalpinioideae) is given by the authors, by including botanical description, geographical distribution, habitat and anatomical description of wood of the following species: Dimorphandra conjugata D. gardneriana, D.gigantea, D. multiflora, D.multiflora, D. pullel and D. unijuga. 21illustrations of the wood described and a list the principal anatomical characteristics are included In this paper.
