Resumo O objetivo do estudo foi analisar a relação entre tempo gasto em comportamentos sedentários, dieta e excesso de peso em adolescentes. Estudo transversal com dados do Estudo Longitudinal sobre Comportamento Sedentário, Atividade Física, Hábitos Alimentares e Saúde do Adolescente - Estudo LONCAAFS. Participaram 1.438 adolescentes (10 a 14 anos) de escolas públicas de João Pessoa, Brasil. Para avaliar os efeitos combinados do tempo excessivo no comportamento sedentário e no consumo de dois grupos de alimentos: Conveniência e Prudente sobre o excesso de peso, foram realizadas análises de regressão logística múltipla, ajustadas para energia, nível de atividade física, sexo e idade. O tempo excessivo em comportamento sedentário aumentou em 37% a chance de os adolescentes apresentarem excesso de peso (OR = 1,37; IC95%: 1,04-1,80). Essa chance aumentou para 43% quando os adolescentes apresentaram, simultaneamente, comportamento sedentário excessivo e alto consumo do grupo de alimentos de conveniência (OR = 1,43; IC95%: 1,05-1,94), e aumentou para 39% naqueles com excesso de comportamento sedentário e baixo consumo de alimentos do Prudente (OR = 1,39; IC95%: 1,04-1,84). O comportamento sedentário excessivo está associado ao excesso de peso e a chance aumenta com o consumo de alimentos convenientes.

Abstract The aim of the present study was to analyze the relationship between time spent engaged in sedentary behaviors, type of diet, and overweight in adolescents. A cross-sectional study using data from the Longitudinal Study on Sedentary Behavior, Physical Activity, Eating Habits, and Health of Adolescents - LONCAAFS Study. A total of 1,438 adolescents (10 to 14 years old) from public schools in the city of João Pessoa, Brazil, participated in the study. To evaluate the combined effects of excessive time in sedentary behavior and consumption from two food groups: Convenience and Prudent on overweight, we performed multiple logistic regression analyses, adjusted for energy, level of physical activity, sex, and age. Excessive time in sedentary behavior increased the chance of adolescents being overweight by 37% (OR = 1.37; 95%CI: 1.04-1.80). This chance increased to 43% when the adolescents were simultaneously engaged in excessive sedentary behavior and had high consumption of the Convenience food group (OR = 1.43; 95%CI: 1.05-1.94) and increased to 39% on those who engaged in excessive sedentary behavior and had low consumption of foods from the Prudent (OR = 1.39; 95%CI: 1.04-1.84). Excessive sedentary behavior is associated with being overweight and the chance increases with the consumption of convenient foods.

RESUMO Os avanços tecnológicos das últimas duas décadas, particularmente nos dispositivos eletrônicos e computação, abriram o caminho para uma extensa lista de potenciais aplicações, em diversas áreas, impactando decisivamente as ações humanas. A proliferação dos equipamentos eletrônicos, tanto de uso pessoal como de coletivo, e conectados de forma ininterrupta, favoreceu a criação e disponibilização de um extenso conjunto de informações, sobre demandas individuais e coletivas, podendo ser utilizadas para gerenciar uma estrutura urbana de forma mais eficiente e otimizada. ABSTRACT The technological advances of the last two decades, particularly on electronic devices and computer science, opened a wide range of potential applications. As a consequence, human actions in several fields have been decisively impacted. The proliferation of electronic devices, both of personal use as collective, and connected online, favored to provide an extensive piece of information. INTRODUCTION: With the aging of the Brazilian population, to scale and evaluate the profile of the vulnerable population for having the Frailty Syndrome in Elderly (FSE) and understanding its associated factors is of great importance. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the profile of elders corresponding to the information referred in the frailty indicators on the Edmonton Frail Scale on a geriatric specialized facility. METHODOLOGY: The present study is a cross-sectional, analytical study, with the elders from a geriatrics specialized facility in Joinville, Brazil. It was analyzed the social-economic profiles (gender, ethnicity, income and schooling) and the evaluation for the FSE, as well as comorbidities present. The project has been approved by the Ethics in Research Committee of UNIVILLE under the protocol number 40940020.6.0000.5366. RESULTS: the results were obtained from the 141 elderly interviewed, with 74 years old as the average age. Majority (60%) female, white (90,2%), of low scholar education (56%) and married or in a stable relationship (53,2%). The prevalence of some sort of fragility was of 17,7% (IC95%). DISCUSSION: Although the discussion over the criteria to establish FSE, the present study was based on the Edmonton Frail Scale. The local sample analyzed demonstrated how the discussion over schooling, smoking, income and the high rates of comorbidities predisposes to FSE and, in that way, also in a higher prevalence of elderly falls. This aligns with previous literature studies which showcase higher prevalence of falls in patients with these epidemiological characteristics. CONCLUSION: Despite some limitations of this present study, such as it being done in a well respected specialized geriatric facility, it does demonstrate the local profile of the elderly stricken with FSE.

INTRODUCCIÓN: Con el envejecimiento de la población brasileña, escalar y evaluar el perfil de la población vulnerable por tener el Síndrome de Fragilidad del Anciano (FSE) y comprender sus factores asociados es de gran importancia. OBJETIVO: Analizar el perfil de los ancianos correspondientes a las informaciones referidas en los indicadores de fragilidad de la Escala de Fragilidad de Edmonton en un establecimiento especializado en geriatría. METODOLOGÍA: El presente estudio es un estudio transversal, analítico, con ancianos de una unidad especializada en geriatría de Joinville, Brasil. Se analizaron los perfiles socioeconómicos (género, etnia, renta y escolaridad) y la evaluación para el FSE, así como las comorbilidades presentes. El proyecto ha sido aprobado por el Comité de Ética en Investigación de UNIVILLE bajo el protocolo número 40940020.6.0000.5366. RESULTADOS: los resultados fueron obtenidos de los 141 ancianos entrevistados, con 74 años como promedio de edad. Mayoritariamente (60%) mujeres, blancas (90,2%), de baja escolaridad (56%) y casadas o en pareja estable (53,2%). La prevalencia de algún tipo de fragilidad fue del 17,7% (IC95%). DISCUSIÓN: A pesar de la discusión sobre los criterios para establecer FSE, el presente estudio se basó en la Escala de Frágil de Edmonton. La muestra local analizada demostró cómo la discusión sobre la escolaridad, el tabaquismo, la renta y los altos índices de comorbilidades predisponen a la EEF y, de ese modo, también a una mayor prevalencia de caídas en ancianos. Esto se alinea con estudios previos de la literatura que muestran una mayor prevalencia de caídas en pacientes con estas características epidemiológicas. CONCLUSIÓN: A pesar de algunas limitaciones de este presente estudio, como que se realizó en un centro geriátrico especializado muy respetado, demuestra el perfil local de los ancianos afectados por FSE.

A amostra local da população representa como discussão sobre a escolaridade, tabagismo, renda e o grande número de comorbidades predispõe a SFI e, dessa forma, também uma prevalência maior de queda do idoso. Isso converge com estudos prévios na literatura que ilustram maior prevalência de queda em pacientes com esse perfil epidemiológico. Conclusão: Apesar de algumas limitações do estudo como de ter sido realizado em um serviço de referência em geriatria, o estudo molda o perfil local da população idosa acometida pela SFI.

Abstract Cyanobacterial blooms are a potential threat to human communities and ecosystems. Since the late 1980s, researchers have reported harmful cyanobacterial colonies in Patos Lagoon (PL), the largest coastal lagoon in South America. Most studies concerning harmful blooms in PL have focused on its biology and on its southernmost estuarine region, with little information about its displacement inside the lagoon and the influence of physical forces on its dynamics. This study uses satellite-derived information (normalized difference chlorophyll-a index – NDCI), river discharge data, and meteorological data (wind speed and direction, rainfall, and air temperature) to analyze two bloom episodes in PL, during the austral summer of 2019/2020, specifically in its larger, limnic portion. A 30-year meteorological time series was used to contrast the same summer period. Two remote sensing images from Sentinel-2 were taken of PL margins, near their central portion. The summer of 2019/2020 was drier when compared with the historical data, characterizing low river discharge. This environmental condition was coupled with high temperature, which implies thermal stratification in summer even at 2-m depth sites, which might have promoted cyanobacterial growth and accumulation inside PL. Moreover, weak winds (<<6 m s−1) seemed to accumulate cyanobacterial patches on the water surface, including after vertical mixing caused by strong winds (>6 m s−1). The NDCI values represented the two days of blooms, with higher values occurring under higher water temperatures and low wind speeds.

ABSTRACT This article aims to analyze scientific articles about School and Educational Psychology, specifically related to the training of psychologists. We carried out a systematic review of articles (2009-2019), using the Portal Periódicos CAPES platform, using the descriptors “school psychology AND psychologist training” and “educational psychology AND psychologist training”. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria and identifying repeated articles, we proceeded with the selection by reading the publications, resulting in a total of 26 articles, mostly published in the Revista de Psicologia Escolar e Educational. In the discussions, we identified the use of traditional practices, clinical instruments and clinical practices as a questioning point related to forms of stigmatization and the absence of theoretical references specific to School Psychology. As for training in the area, questions emerge about initial and continuing training, little curricular space for School Psychology and Historical-Cultural Psychology as a methodological alternative for action.

RESUMEN Este texto tiene por objetivo analizar artículos científicos sobre Psicología escolar/educacional, específicamente relacionados a la formación de psicólogos. Realizamos una revisión sistemática de artículos (2009-2019), por la plataforma Portal Periódicos CAPES, utilizando los descriptores “psicología escolar AND formación del psicólogo” y “psicología educacional AND formación del psicólogo”. Tras aplicar los criterios de inclusión y exclusión e identificación de artículos repetidos, procedemos la selección por la lectura de las publicaciones, resultando en un total de 26 artículos, en su mayoría publicados en la Revista de Psicología Escolar/Educacional. En las discusiones, identificamos el uso de prácticas tradicionales, de instrumentales y prácticas clínicos como punto de problematización relacionado a las formas de estigmatización y a la ausencia de referenciales teóricos propios de la Psicología Escolar. En lo que se refiere a la formación en el área, emergen cuestiones sobre formación inicial y continuada, poco espacio curricular para Psicología escolar y la Psicología Histórico-Cultural como alternativa metodológica para actuación.

RESUMO Introdução: A reconstrução do couro cabeludo após a ressecção oncológica continua sendo um desafio para o cirurgião, especialmente considerando a incidência crescente de câncer de pele entre pacientes idosos. A matriz dérmica (MD) é um grupo heterogêneo de materiais de cobertura de feridas que auxiliam no fechamento da ferida e substituem algumas das funções da pele, temporária ou permanentemente. Pacientes com maior risco cirúrgico podem se beneficiar do uso de MD, que ajuda a gerar uma nova derme, oferecendo grandes melhorias na cobertura de defeitos complexos e extensos. Métodos: É um trabalho retrospectivo com análise de prontuário e relato de dois casos de pacientes do A.C.Camargo Cancer Center-SP, Brasil. Resultados: Relatamos dois casos de defeitos complexos e extensos de couro cabeludo em um centro único usando MD associada a enxerto cutâneo e terapia de pressão negativa (TPN) na cirurgia reconstrutiva após ressecção de neoplasia maligna da pele com resultados funcionais e estético satisfatório. Conclusões: As lesões extensas do couro cabeludo são um desafio na prática clínica e um tratamento multidisciplinar é fundamental. Os resultados obtidos indicam que a MD associada com a enxertia de pele parcial e com a TPN tem enorme potencial para aumentar as opções terapêuticas disponíveis para o cirurgião e possivelmente beneficiando os pacientes, especialmente aqueles que não têm condições clínicas para uma cirurgia extensa de cobertura com retalho microcirúrgico. ABSTRACT Introduction: Scalp reconstruction after cancer resection remains a challenge for surgeons, especially considering the increasing incidence of skin cancer among elderly patients. Dermal matrix (DM) is a heterogeneous group of wound covering materials that aid in wound closure and replace some of the skins functions, either temporarily or permanently. Patients at higher surgical risk can benefit from the use of DM, which help to generate a new dermis, offering great improvements in coverage of complex and extensive defects Methods: It is a retrospective study with analysis of medical records and report of two cases of patients at the A.C.Camargo Cancer Center-SP, Brazil. Results: We report two cases of complex and extensive scalp defects at a single center using DM associated with skin grafting and negative pressure therapy (NPT) in reconstructive surgery after resection of malignant skin neoplasm with satisfactory functional and esthetic results. Conclusions: Extensive lesions of the scalp are a challenge in clinical practice and a multidisciplinary treatment is essential. The results obtained indicate that DM associated with partial skin grafting and NPT have enormous potential to increase the therapeutic options available to the surgeon and possibly benefit patients, especially those who do not have the clinical conditions for extensive coverage surgery with microsurgical flap. RESUMO A balanite de Zoon e o líquen escleroso são ambas doenças inflamatórias crónicas da mucosa genital, que afetam predominantemente homens não circuncisados de meia-idade ou idosos. Apesar da etiologia da balanite de Zoon não estar ainda totalmente clarificada, tem sido sugerido que fatores irritantes e mecânicos locais podem desempenhar um papel relevante na sua fisiopatologia. Assim, a esclerose do prepúcio e a fimose induzida pelo líquen escleroso genital podem potenciar o seu desenvolvimento da balanite de Zoon. Contudo, até ao presente, foram descritos apenas três casos com características clínicas e histológicas compatíveis com apresentação síncronas de ambas as doenças. Apresentamos o caso de um doente de 70 anos, não circuncisado, que desenvolveu balanite de Zoon em associação a líquen escleroso e que resolveram apenas após circuncisão.

ABSTRACT Zoon balanitis and lichen sclerosus are both chronic inflammatory disorders of the genital mucosa that usually affect middle-aged or elderly uncircumcised men. Although the precise etiology of Zoon balanitis is still unclear, a pathogenic role of irritant and mechanical factors has been suggested. Therefore, foreskin sclerosis and phimosis caused by male genital lichen sclerosus may trigger the development of Zoon balanitis. However, until the present, only three cases with clinical and histopathologic features consistent with synchronous presentation of both disorders have been described. We report the case of a 70-year-old male who developed Zoon balanitis in association with lichen sclerosus, that cleared only after circumcision.

Abstract Introduction and objective Due to the high cost and insufficient offer, the request for Intensive Care (ICU) beds for postoperative recovery needs adequate criteria. Therefore, we studied the characteristics of patients referred to postoperative care at an ICU from the perspective of anesthesiologists, surgeons, and intensive care physicians. Methods A questionnaire on referrals to postoperative intensive care was applied to physicians at congresses in Brazil. Anesthesiologists, surgeons, and intensive care physicians who agreed to fill out the questionnaire were included. The questionnaire consisted of hypothetical clinical scenarios and cases for participants to choose which would be the priority for referral to the ICU. Results 360 physicians participated in the study, with median time of 10 (5-18) years after graduation. Of the interviewees, 36.4% were anesthesiologists, 30.0% surgeons, and 33.6% intensive care physicians. We found that anesthesiologists were more conservative, and surgeons less conservative in ICU referrals. As to patients with risk of bleeding, 75.0% of the surgeons would refer them to the ICU, in contrast with 52.1% of the intensive care physicians, and 43.5% of the anesthesiologists (p< 0.001). As to elderly persons with limited reserve, 62.0% of the surgeons would refer them to the ICU, in contrast with 47.1% of the intensive care physicians, and 22.1% of the anesthesiologists (p< 0.001). As to patients with risk of respiratory complications, 64.5% of the surgeons would recommend the ICU, versus 43.0% of the intensive care physicians, and 32.1% of the anesthesiologists (p< 0.001). Intensive care physicians classified priorities better in indicating ICU, and the main risk indicator was the ASA physical status in all specialties (p< 0.001). There was no agreement among the specialties and surgeries on prioritizing post-operative intensive care. Conclusion Anesthesiologists, surgeons, and intensive care physicians presented different perspectives on postoperative referral to the ICU.

Resumo Este artigo analisa o campo musical brasileiro, na década de 1970, sob o prisma dos artistas estreantes nesses dez anos. Luiz Gonzaga Junior, Luiz Melodia, Novos Baianos, Secos & Molhados, Clube da Esquina, João Bosco, Fagner, Belchior, Sá, Rodrix e Guarabyra, Ivan Lins e Raul Seixas são músicos e compositores populares, que despontaram artisticamente após o tropicalismo e desenvolveram uma produção musical significativa no transcorrer dessa década. Embora sejam, atualmente, artistas conhecidos, a trajetória dessa geração foi pouco estudada, e sua relevância na historiografia da música popular ainda se encontra mal definida. Assim, este artigo objetiva lança luz sobre essa geração de novatos, ocupantes de posições homólogas no campo musical, de modo a compreender a configuração dos seus trabalhos artísticos e carreiras profissionais no centro das transformações sociais, econômicas e culturais que marcaram a década de 1970.

Abstract This article analyzes the Brazilian musical field, in the 1970s, from the perspective of debuting artists in these ten years. Luiz Gonzaga Junior, Luiz Melodia, Novos Baianos, Secos & Molhados, Clube da Esquina, João Bosco, Fagner, Belchior, Sá, Rodrix and Guarabyra, Ivan Lins and Raul Seixas are popular musicians and composers, who emerged artistically after tropicalism, and developed a significant musical production during that decade. Although they are currently known artists, the trajectory of this generation has been little studied and their relevance in the historiography of popular music is still poorly defined. Thus, this article aims to shed light on this generation of newcomers, occupying similar positions in the musical field, in order to understand the configuration of their artistic works and professional careers at the center of the social, economic and cultural transformations that marked the 1970s.

ABSTRACT Merkel cell carcinoma is an aggressive malignancy that frequently recurs/disseminates, but metastases to the genitourinary tract are rare. Only eight cases of Merkel cell carcinoma metastatic to the testis are reported. We describe the ninth case of this event and provide a review of the literature. A 58-year-old man diagnosed with Merkel cell carcinoma of the wrist, presented, 37 months later, a recurrence in the form of a testicular metastasis. The tumor consisted of a monotonous proliferation of small, blue, round cells, with immunoexpression of neuroendocrine markers and the typical dot-like paranuclear immunostaining for cytokeratin 20, in the absence of immunostaining for cytokeratin 7. The patient is alive with no evidence of disease. Clinicians should be aware of the possibility of metastatic dissemination to the testis since genital examination/imaging is not part of routine follow-up for these patients, but timely orchiectomy may be curative.

Resumo Objetivou-se identificar padrões alimentares e sua associação com características socioeconômicas, de estilo de vida, estado nutricional, perfil lipídico e inflamatório em adolescentes. Estudo transversal, com amostra probabilística, utilizando dados da linha de base (2014) do Estudo Longitudinal sobre Comportamento Sedentário, Atividade Física, Hábitos Alimentares e Saúde de Adolescentes (LONCAAFS). Participaram 1.438 adolescentes (10 a 14 anos), da rede pública de João Pessoa-PB. Foram obtidos dados socioeconômicos, medidas antropométricas, estilo de vida e exames bioquímicos. Os dados dietéticos foram obtidos por recordatórios de 24h, sendo os padrões alimentares identificados por análise fatorial exploratória e as associações de interesse estimadas por regressão logística múltipla. Foram encontrados três padrões alimentares: “Tradicional”, “Lanches” e “Ocidental” que se associaram com idade, nível socioeconômico, escolaridade dos pais e estilo de vida. O padrão “Tradicional” se mostrou associado a menor adiposidade e melhor perfil lipídico, porém com a maior idade, há maior adesão aos padrões “Lanches” e “Ocidental”. Os resultados da análise do padrão alimentar de adolescentes apontam para necessidade de estratégias que incentivem comportamentos saudáveis.

Abstract The aim of the present study was to identify dietary patterns and associations with socioeconomic characteristics, lifestyle, nutritional status, lipid profile and inflammatory profile in adolescents. A cross-sectional study was conducted with a probabilistic sample using baseline data (2014) from the Longitudinal Study on Sedentary Behavior, Physical Activity, Eating Habits and Adolescent Health. A total of 1,438 adolescents (10 to 14 years old) from public schools in the city of João Pessoa, Brazil, participated in the study. Data were collected on socioeconomic characteristics, nutritional status, lifestyle and the results of biochemical tests. Dietary data were obtained using the 24-hour recall method and dietary patterns were identified by exploratory factor analysis. Associations of interest were estimated using multiple logistic regression. Three dietary patterns were found: “Traditional”, “Snacks” and “Western”. These patterns were associated with age, socioeconomic status, parental education and lifestyle. The “Traditional” pattern was associated lower adiposity and a better lipid profile. However, with the increase in age, greater frequencies of the “Snacks” and “Western” patterns were found. The present findings underscore the need for strategies that encourage healthy behaviors.

Resumo Objetivou-se identificar padrões alimentares e sua associação com características socioeconômicas, de estilo de vida, estado nutricional, perfil lipídico e inflamatório em adolescentes. Estudo transversal, com amostra probabilística, utilizando dados da linha de base (2014) do Estudo Longitudinal sobre Comportamento Sedentário, Atividade Física, Hábitos Alimentares e Saúde de Adolescentes (LONCAAFS). Participaram 1.438 adolescentes (10 a 14 anos), da rede pública de João Pessoa-PB. Foram obtidos dados socioeconômicos, medidas antropométricas, estilo de vida e exames bioquímicos. Os dados dietéticos foram obtidos por recordatórios de 24h, sendo os padrões alimentares identificados por análise fatorial exploratória e as associações de interesse estimadas por regressão logística múltipla. Foram encontrados três padrões alimentares: “Tradicional”, “Lanches” e “Ocidental” que se associaram com idade, nível socioeconômico, escolaridade dos pais e estilo de vida. O padrão “Tradicional” se mostrou associado a menor adiposidade e melhor perfil lipídico, porém com a maior idade, há maior adesão aos padrões “Lanches” e “Ocidental”. Os resultados da análise do padrão alimentar de adolescentes apontam para necessidade de estratégias que incentivem comportamentos saudáveis.

Abstract The aim of the present study was to identify dietary patterns and associations with socioeconomic characteristics, lifestyle, nutritional status, lipid profile and inflammatory profile in adolescents. A cross-sectional study was conducted with a probabilistic sample using baseline data (2014) from the Longitudinal Study on Sedentary Behavior, Physical Activity, Eating Habits and Adolescent Health. A total of 1,438 adolescents (10 to 14 years old) from public schools in the city of João Pessoa, Brazil, participated in the study.
